Come to Rychnov nad Kněžnou with us. It is a place where the machines by the family-owned Czech company, BEDNAR FMT s.r.o., are made, component by component.

9,500 years BC.… it is when the foundations of farming were formed.
The gradual transition from gathering gave rise to primitive cultivation of eight basic neolithic crops: wheat, barley and so on.
1997
Foundation of STROM Export s.r.o.
JUDr. Ing Ladislav Bednář founded the Company to export Czech-made agricultural machines abroad.
1998
Own machinery production
DISK PROFI cultivator was the first machine manufactured by STROM Export s.r.o.
1999
Expansion of the disc cultivator portfolio
Commencement of the production of PRECISER disc cultivators and FINISHER disc-share cultivators.
2000
Own warehouse rental
Warehouse rental in Moravská Třebová: the first employed warehouse manager.

The first employed assembly workers

Commencement of the production and sale of ECOLAND Classic
The first ECOLAND Classic stubble cultivators designed for minimum tillage.

Colour IMAGE change
Agricultural machinery changed colour from green to yellow. The production of the first wide-span SWIFTER cultivator.
2005
Commencement of the successful era of production of rotary cutters
The first manufactured MULCHERE MC, a crop residue cutter.
2006
Company-owned production plant in Rychnov nad Kněžnou
Commencement of the production of agricultural machinery in new premises in Rychnov nad Kněžnou: the first property owned by the Company.
2007
Innovated MULCHER
The MC rotary cutter series was innovated to MZ with galvanized finish based on the new needs of farmers. The beginning of cooperation with prominent farms in Eastern Europe.
2008
The first extension of the production plant
Production-storage Hall B was added to the production plant in Rychnov nad Kněžnou
2009
Creation of the unique SWIFTER Concept
The SWIFTER product series was expanded with a new disc section, giving rise to the SWIFTER Concept product family. Introducing new software for production process control.
2010
Introducing the chisel plough to the market

Reconstruction of the office spaces
The office spaces and the main façade of the production plant in Rychnov nad Kněžnou were reconstructed

The second extension of the production plant
The construction of the hall for a powder spray painting station was an important extension of the production plant

A significant change of IMAGE
STROM Export changes its name to BEDNAR FMT s.r.o.

Modernization of the production hall

Expansion of the assembly capacity
The assembly capacity in the production plant in Rychnov nad Kněžnou was expanded by 1,200 m2
2016
An important delivery for the Swedish army
BEDNAR succeeded in the tender for the Swedish army. The MULCHER MM machines were delivered with special military varnish on request of the customer.
2017
New canvas storage hall
Storage requirements continuously increase. Therefore, a canvas storage hall was built next to the production plant
2018
Starting the construction of a modern two-storey production plant in Rychnov nad Kněžnou
The foundation stone was laid in December, starting the construction of a modern, two-storey production hall
2019
New dispatch hall
To improve loading, a new dispatch hall was built
2020
The extension of the production plant
In addition to the expansion of production spaces, the new two-storey assembly hall also enabled launching a line production of BEDNAR machines
2021
Turnover exceeded CZK 2.5 billion
BEDNAR FMT s.r.o. concluded the 2021 economic year with the highest turnover in the history of the Company: over 2.5 billion Czech crowns.

The first years were difficult, we didn't have our own production facilities and everything was coming together slowly. The success of our company is based on many things, namely the decision to invest into our own production facility. Thanks to finding gaps in the market and manufacturing machines tailored to the actual customer requirements, we have become a renowned player in the demanding competitive environment. The entire process of growth is about strong visions, endurance and continuously seeking compromise. I am truly proud of what BEDNAR means for many of our customers and partners. I look towards the future with determination and I believe that the ideas my sons and colleagues have in their heads today will be implemented just like twenty-five years ago, when we were at the very beginning."
